Joshua S. Cohen, Associate
Mr. Cohen is an Associate at Argosy Real Estate, with responsibility for acquisition underwriting, market analysis and transaction due diligence. To date, he has worked on $180 million of completed transactions for the firm. He is also actively engaged in asset management, working with joint venture partners to create, evaluate and execute business plans, performing quarterly and annual review of portfolio assets, and co-writing investor reports. Previously, Mr. Cohen was a Senior Analyst at Desanto Realty Group, a national Tenant-In-Common sponsor. While there he led all aspects of underwriting and the due diligence for transactions totaling $220 million. He also managed a portfolio of eight multifamily communities, developing and administering multi-million dollar budgets. Mr. Cohen began his career as an Analyst at a New York City law firm specializing in commercial real estate tax issues. He was primarily responsible for financial and market analysis in support of real estate tax appeal, abatements, and exemptions for property owners and developers.
Mr. Cohen earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the National Multi Housing Council. He is also a member the Board of Directors at the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood, Pa. An avid cyclist, he coordinates a team for the MS150 City to Shore bike tour, benefitting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
