
Andrew J. Stewart, Principal
Mr. Stewart is a Principal at Argosy Real Estate, with responsibility for the firm’s central and mountain region operations. Mr. Stewart has 15 years of real estate investment and operating experience, involving over $2 billion of diverse real estate transactions throughout the United States and Canada. He was most recently Senior Manager of Acquisitions at M.D.C. Holdings, Inc., one of the nation’s largest public homebuilders, where he had responsibility for origination and execution of land and corporate investments throughout the company’s footprint. Mr. Stewart joined M.D.C. from Cherokee Investment Partners, a global opportunistic real estate private equity fund, where he was a Managing Director specializing in the acquisition and redevelopment of urban mixed-use, brownfield, residential and commercial assets. Mr. Stewart started his career at Sage Hospitality Resources, a prominent hotel management and investment company, where he was involved with the origination, underwriting, closing and asset management of hospitality investment and development projects.
Mr. Stewart holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. Mr. Stewart is a member of the Urban Land Institute and its National Residential Neighborhood Development Council. He is also a member of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Cornell Society of Hoteliers.
